FrequeNtly Asked Questions

What is IV therapy?

IV Therapy is a safe and effective way to deliver vitamins, minerals, supplements and medications directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract, allowing for 100% absorption, making them readily available for cellular use.

What are some of the benefits of IV Therapy treatments?

There are many benefits to your overall health and wellness that can be achieved through IV therapy.  Some of these benefits may include, but are not limited to

  • Boosting your immune system

  • Promoting weight loss

  • Curing Hangovers

  • Increasing energy

  • Slowing the effects of ageing

  • Increasing athletic performance

  • Increasing Beauty with beautiful hair, skin, and nails

  • Ridding the body of toxins and free radicals

  • Treating certain nutrient deficiencies

  • Promoting cardiovascular health

  • Easing anxiety and promoting relaxation

How long does IV therapy take?

At your first appointment prior to receiving your IV treatment or Injection there will be a quick 15-20 health history and good faith exam.  Most IV treatments are completed within 30-60 minutes.  The exception to that is NAD+ therapy which is administered slowly over a 4 hour period.

What should I wear?

Dress in layers, allowing for easy access to your veins located to the front of your elbow.  Make sure that your clothing is not restricting or tight above the access area as it might cause more pain.  As fluids are being administered you might get slightly chilled so having something that zips up may be beneficial

How long before I will feel the effects of my treatment?

IV hydration effects are felt much quicker because they bypass the digestive system and go straight into your blood stream.  Typically you will feel the effects within an hour of treatment. However some of the drip cocktails are designed for long term benefits and therefore you may not feel the immediate boost.

How often do I need IV therapy?

The frequency in your IV treatments is determined by each patients desired outcomes. For many of the beauty and anti-aging infusions we would recommend weekly or bi-monthly.  However some ailments can be a quick fix and only on a as needed basis ie: hangovers and migraines.  The general rule of thumb for over-all-health is weekly for the first month, bi-weekly for the second month and then either maintain at bi-weekly or drop down to once a month.  Pay attention to your body, and see how it feels to determine frequency.  Assessing energy, pain, mental clarity, overall health, sleep patterns, anxiety levels, mood swings, etc.

Does an IV hurt?

Each person has a different level of pain tolerance.  That being said we have experienced nurses that are able to get most people in their first stick, smaller needles, and tools, such as a vein finder, for those that tend to have "difficult veins."

Are there negative side effects?

When first starting IV therapy it is not uncommon to experience some symptoms of detoxing such as diarrhoea or constipation, body aches, brain fog and possible headaches.  The more often you have IV therapy the less you experience the detoxing symptoms and the faster you begin feeling the increased health, focus, energy, and overall wellness.  Side effects are extremely rare. Most common side effects are redness, pain, bruising or swelling at injection site.  On extreme rare occasion anaphylaxis can occur.  If you have ever experienced anaphylaxis from any source in the past you will not be permitted to receive IV therapy.

Can I achieve the same results by taking supplements?

No.  Supplements that are taken orally only have around a 20-50% absorption rate over a 24-48 hour period.  With IV infusions there is 100% absorption rate, with immediate delivery to your cells, allowing for much quicker and far better results.
